Upload or paste your contact CSV. The checker reads the header row, suggests the GoHighLevel standard field each column most likely maps to, and flags columns that will need a custom field, duplicate headers, empty columns and rows with no email or phone.
Your file is read in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded or sent anywhere, and nothing is stored after you close the page.
How to read the results
- Map to a standard field: pick that field on the GoHighLevel mapping screen.
- No standard match: create a custom field first (Settings > Custom Fields), or choose not to import the column.
- Duplicate header or second column for the same field: keep one column, merge or delete the other.
- Rows with no email or phone: GoHighLevel matches existing contacts on email or phone, so these rows can create duplicates. Fill them in or hold them back.
- Different number of columns: usually a comma inside a value that is not wrapped in quotes. Re-export from your spreadsheet as CSV.
Before you import
- Run a test import of 5 to 10 rows.
- Format phone numbers consistently with our phone number format fixer.
- Check custom field names with the custom field name checker.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read with JavaScript in your browser and is not sent to any server.
Does this guarantee the import will succeed?
No. It catches common structural problems. Field names in your account can differ, so always run a small test import first.
